BLUE BIRDS

The bluebirds have been among the missing for the last month or so.
Today I noticed this one visiting my birdbath.

He's looking a little rough around the edges.

I'm betting he's here after my Winter-berries.

It has taken me about 5 years to get these to look like this...

I think this is a Lenten Rose.
It outdid itself this year.

I see you are still having hot weather. Yesterday was supposedly our last triple digit high temp for the year. Oh how I hope so.

A mature apricot tree at our Napa, CA home finally set fruit after we decided to sell that home. Gosh those were gorgeous apricots on the tree, but... they didn't ripen until after we moved out.
In all the previous five years, there wasn't an apricot to be had and I love tree ripened apricots.
We threatened to remove the tree if it didn't set fruit that summer, and darned if the tree didn't listen to us.

That's a cool birdbath. I hope you get to take it with you to your new home.

Love the Bluebird and the Winterberry . . . I certainly don't need anymore plantings but really like it!

And I agree . . . I liked your bird bath close to the window.

We have had a few Bluebirds the past week. We only see a few each year so I guess we don't have enough good things for them to eat.

I love bluebirds! I usually see them around my house in the Spring. They build a nest every year in a birdhouse outside my kitchen window. I was devestated one day to see the wind knocked it down and the eggs in the nest broke. The bluebirds would come back and fly around the house on the ground as if they were upset. Hope they return next year. Your flowers are very pretty. I don't have anything blooming outside now.
