SUPER MOON

This past weekend,
we were treated to a "super moon".
A perigee full moon...

It was very bright...30% brighter and 14%  bigger due to it's proximity and alignment with the earth.

I took some shots with both of my cameras..

Through windows...

and from outside in my driveway..
I was hoping that it would clear up but it never did.
Maybe I'll have better luck in August when
"Super moon" returns.

I just thought I'd add a little color to this post.

Last night before I took the dog out for her last bathroom run of the day, I told myself to check out the moon. Some how from the time I put on her collar to the time I stepped out the back door, I forget to glance up. Your flowers are full of lovely color.

We weren't able to see the full moon this month due to some unusual rainy weather. I am glad to hear there's another chance in August to see a super moon.

You are a good photographer. I enjoyed both the moon and the beautiful, colourful flowers...

Not until August 2014 I heard . . . although it seemed big, I think a Harvest Moon in October will look bigger and brighter than the hazy evening moon photos I was able to capture . . . Great photos Missy . . . and I liked the "color brights" too!

HUGE moon, wasn't it? I didn't realize we would be having one in August too.

Love the added color! You take some great shots!

Great shots of the moon. We were traveling and could see them through the windows. Gorgeous shots and I love the flowers, too- xo Diana

Great shots. Saturday night we were treated to a pass-by of the Space Station. It was only in the sky for four minutes and went from horizon to horizon across the sky.....very very cool!!

Missy, I love the pictures of the moon behind clouds. It looks very mysterious. Thank you so much for visiting me. I look forward to getting to know you. Have a wonderful day! Bonnie
