A POPULATION EXPLOSION

I believe that we must have had a recent emptying
of the nests around here.

Lots of Finches all day long....
One lone male with all those women...

I haven't seen very many yellow ones lately.
I think these are mostly purple or house finches.
I wish they could do something about the mosquitoes.

They say bats like mosquitoes! I think the Finches like you!

We pulled our feeders for the summer to see if we could discourage the chipmunks and squirrels. I have the Hummingbird feeders out and three fresh water sites . . .

Lots of birds flitting here and there in the woods, around the house so I think they have survived. I will be putting the feeders back in the usual places very soon.

Why should they hunt and eat mosquitoes? You're serving up a 24/7 all-you-can-eat buffet!

Those are neat birdie feeders...I see they would keep the squirrels at bay. I see the red male finch peeking around...cute birds!!!

Too bad the finches don't have bat appetites. They sure are cute but I bet you go through a ton of bird seed. xo Diana

Birds and small wild animals seem to have a fancy for you!

I have a few yellow ones coming to my sunflowers now. And sometimes drinking from the bird bath. It's strange, when it real hot it seems the birds don't use the bird bath.
