SAY GOODBYE TO COLOR

I hate to think that this may be the end
 of our beautiful fall color.

We had forty mile an hour winds several days ago
with a half an inch of driving rain in a very short amount of time.

The leaves that were just hanging on are now on the ground
waiting for a rake .
It won't be mine..That's for sure.

Happy raking !!!

Beautiful colors Missy . . . lucky you, sitting back watching the leaves fall . . . and no concern about making sure they are cleared up before the snow flies.

Another story in my neck of the woods . . .

You had a great looking fall compared to ours. We had a dud. We used to always wish for a good stiff wind to blow all of our leaves into the neighbor's yard.. LOL Aren't we mean?

Missy, After ted and I raked one day last week and cleaned up the yard...for a couple hours our yard looked very good. So now we are waiting for the very last of the leaves to be down...then Ted will mow/mulch them . It's rainy and windy here today...makes me feel sad. Hope you can enjoy a bit more of fall. xoxo,Susie

I kind of like raking leaves as long as they are not wet. Tomorrow will be sunny so hopefully they will dry a bit. I still have some tulip bulbs to plant and rose bushes to cover, which I usually use my leaves to cover the bushes and mulch a little...getting down to the wire with winterizing the yard then....it can snow anytime it wants.

It was very windy and cold here today too. I noticed many leaves blowing around. We finally have a lot of nice Fall color around here. It took forever to get here! The best way to get those leaves up is with a blower and then a mower that can suck them up! I hate raking.
