Last week I took several of my new friends to "the farm"
for a visit.
I even took Mollie this time to meet Annie the new pup.
That didn't go so well.
She was a little overwhelmed by three "strange" women
and a new dog.
I couldn't blame her.
So we shut them both up in separate places and went for a tour.
(Mollie chases everything in sight and has to be on a leash.
That's no fun for me.)
The roosters were busy taking mud baths.
The new chicklets are getting big
and soon to be moved out of doors.
The next stop was to visit the pigs..Ginger and Mary Ann.
It was easy to see where the expression
"Happy as a pig in mud" came from.
On to the equines..
Moonbeam, Red, Ollie, Scarlet, and Donny Brasco.
The donkeys Chloe and Daphne came out blurry so no pics of them.
The turkeys, Tom and Chuck have molted their tail feathers so they weren't as handsome as usual..
Miss Minerva still oversees the gardens that have started to
push up their harvest.
A bunny is using the Strawberry patch for a nesting place.
I hope they make it..
The goats are shedding their winter wools..pretty ratty looking now.
Doesn't Fred have beautiful horns??
At this point, I have run out of names...
It's hard to keep everyone straight..
After a nice lunch on the porch we headed home.
Thanks so much for your hospitality Bev.
We all had a wonderful time and it was a beautiful day.
