Several of the residents (including me), have been very vocal of late about the appearance of our neighborhood.

This winter took its toll on  quite a number of our shrubs, trees and other plantings.
A lot of it was due to careless snow removal and too much salt.
It was suggested to the "powers that be" that it might be a good idea to "neaten up the place."

We weren't asking for replacements...
just get rid of and cut out the dead stuff.

The only cost would be manpower.

They listened and spent a day doing just that.

Grass seed was also distributed to areas that had been stripped by
the fall leaf cleanup and Bobcat damage.
We could use a lot more of that..
Our weather has been wonderful for growing grass.
Thanks guys..keep up the good work!!

We lost a few shrubs to the winter weather too. Nice that they listened to you, although you would think 'that's their job' and why don't they just take care of dead shrub removal without having to be asked to do it? Guess the times have changed a bit since my day.

Missy, Good for you and the others , getting some action . I have been trimming dead out of my favorite juniper...I am not liking what I the inside is so dry and dead. I cut back my roses severely because of the harsh winter . Hope you have a wonderful weekend, xoxo,Susie

It will look nice with all the dead stuff gone. Way to go by getting it started in the first place. Unfortunately it does take a little push to get things done.

Glad your concerns were acted upon. Have a good weekend.

Really? Don't they walk around doing a check of things, Missy? I'm glad they did it for you, but you and your neighbors shouldn't have to ask. Here they do a twice a year walk around looking at everyone's condo's. I have noticed that it looks like a new landscaping crew this year, not sure if they changed for price or what as I thought the old one was good, too.

That is so nice to have someone come and clean out the dead brush like that. Around here, we have to do it! But it's worth it to live in the country. That was really nice of them to spread the grass seed.
