Did I say that I was finished tweaking???
I never said that..If I did, I lied.

I thought I needed a little more color in my garden.
I just love Cone Flowers.

The local nursery was selling their perennials at 20% off.
They should have been giving some of them away..
They were pretty ragged.

On my way home,
I thought about how hard it was to plant anything here.
Lot's of roots, soil that hasn't been worked forever, etc.

So, I asked a friend who does the landscaping
if she would mind helping me out.

Fortunately, she agreed.
I tend to forget that I can't do all this stuff anymore
and bite off more than I can chew.

She came over on Saturday and "we" got them in the ground.

I never would have been able to do it.
Some of the roots she went through were a good inch across.
I would have quit !!

Thanks for not being a quitter.!!!

I took some time off two weeks ago.
I didn't do anything in particular..just a blogging break.
This is what we had four evenings in a row.

You can see my gutters overflowing
even though the downspout seems to be working.

One and a half inches was not unusual.

You could cut the humidity with a knife..Very sultry.

It was a welcome break from the searing sun
and having to water every day.
I'm beginning to feel like a mushroom.

We haven't had any rain since !
We really need it and this week looks pretty dry.

I spent a few mornings ago slaving over a hot grill/microwave.
On the grill was a six pack of chicken breasts for Mollie.

My freezer always has chicken in it.
I tend to think of it as dog food.

Then I had to boil water for the Hummingbirds  !!

My refrigerator is a sad state of affairs.
Even two things in there are Mollies.

Don't worry..I won't starve.
It's for sure, Mollie won't.

Enjoy your weekend !!!

Recently I was taking Mollie for her morning walk
when I noticed this debris in the road.
Having a curious nature ...I looked up !!

A squirrel was attempting to make a nest in this tree.
I'm not sure if it was successful or not.
It got fuller but no more debris accumulated..

Time will tell??

Some of you may know that I make greeting cards.
Due to some arthritis issues, I haven't made any for awhile.
Running low, I decided to put together some "fronts"
that I had done some time ago.
With a little "help"  from you know who...

I can't tell you how many times the scotch tape hit the floor.

The dark line on his jaw is from his "fangs".
He has huge teeth.

"How long do you think
she'll keep trying to accomplish something?"

" I think I'm winning. "

"Maybe if I take over her work space."......

"Ah, yes..I won..She just went to walk that silly dog."

Have a wonderful week.

Karen Valentine  of "My Desert Cottage"
is hosting her annual blog party.

Where Bloggers Create

My space tends to be anywhere someone else isn't.
Not here..

I make greeting cards and I utilize my whole house.

In my den, or second bedroom, there is a closet
that contains all my supplies .
In this room, I have three available work areas.

A small fold up table.....

A drop leaf table....

and a desk.

My kitchen counter is the best
but I have to take everything out there and put up with the "help"!!

So there you have it...
My creative space is just about anywhere I can find it.
"Where there's a will, there's a way."
(somebody said that)

Thanks for hosting Karen.

What were you doing at 8 AM Sunday morning?
Maybe you and a friend were "playing tennis"?

Or were you and the family watching a baseball game ?
Maybe you were playing?

This ball field is maintained (very well) by the Township.
On weekends there are games from sun up to sun set.

Maybe you were making vapor trails across the skies.

I was walking Mollie and taking it all in.

These are starting to find their way to the ground already.
Pretty small but no one has paid any attention to this tree for years.

Have a wonderful week.
