IT'S A PARTY 2014

Karen Valentine  of "My Desert Cottage"
is hosting her annual blog party.

Where Bloggers Create

My space tends to be anywhere someone else isn't.
Not here..

I make greeting cards and I utilize my whole house.

In my den, or second bedroom, there is a closet
that contains all my supplies .
In this room, I have three available work areas.

A small fold up table.....

A drop leaf table....

and a desk.

My kitchen counter is the best
but I have to take everything out there and put up with the "help"!!

So there you have it...
My creative space is just about anywhere I can find it.
"Where there's a will, there's a way."

Nice cards! And you've got all the equipment necessary except for a sufficiently high work table in the room where you keep your supplies.

Hi Missy. You're a woman after my own heart! As a Sandwich Generation caregiver (caring for my senior mom and babysitting my grandkids), my work space is where ever I am. Whether it's the desk in my room, the picnic table at my grandkids, the hospital with my mom, or the back yard watching my grandkids frolic in the water and my mom enjoying her gardening activities. And they all can work coz we need them to - right! :) Have a blessed and beautiful week.

I wish we lived next door so I could see your card creations and watch you design! I like this creative passion . . .

"Anywhere you can find it" works great, Missy! As long as you create I'm sure you find it satisfying. I just love those mouse cards you show.

No, I wouldn't really swing a cat ~ I'm allergic anyway. ; )

It's difficult to find a comfy spot, isn't it? While I have a craft room, I have chairs, a stool, footstools, all at different heights, but I think I just need to figure out a way to raise my main work table so my back won't kill me. Your closet looks like a dream! I love all of your paper storage!

Hi, Missy! I like how you just create wherever you can - isn't that life? How could you make those cuddly creatures give up their nap space?! ;-) Thanks for sharing.

Why not work anywhere you want! Even though I have a craft room, I still haul things out to the kitchen or family room so I can work where everyone else is.
Thanks for the tour!

I am having so much fun peeking into the creative spaces of other crafty ladies. I, too, have my maker pens setting by my comfortable chair. I like to work on my art journal while my dear sweet hubby watches his men shows. Alligator Hunters, Ice Truckers, etc. They are all the same to me, but I like being near the sweet old man I married 37 years ago.
I'm having a Give-A-Way on my blog for a $25 Amazon Gift Card. Please come over and put our name in the hat. All you have to do is leave a comment and follow me back. I am excited to have found you, now I going to look at some of your past posts :)
Have a great day,
Your newest follower, Connie :)

I'm the same way...where and whenever I can get it done, LOL!

I am in the middle of transforming my office into a "creative space" even though most of what I create is a selling space on my website. Lots of photos to be taken, designing and layouts of items, etc.

Thank you for sharing yours!

"Where there's a will there's a way"?.. Ha! I said that! (funny, because that's exactly what I said in MY post!)... Loved seeing what you're making. Not even put together yet, your cards look gorgeous already! Thanks for sharing your creative space! Hope you're enjoying your weekend, and give your kitty an extra snuggle for me, if you would! ~tina

Very nice! I wish I could have a comfy chair in my work area. Right now to blog and read I do it in the livingroom. Hubby's sports often distract.... Hugs! http://connell-crafts.blogspot.ca/

A very funny post today! Your cards require a lot of rooms ... it would be impossible for me to make them in my tiny flat!!

Look at you so tidy. Love your house of mouse work. I dare say I do have a dedicated room....but could not show you the living room corner where I migrate with scissors, glue, ribbon and paper when I need to just sit and play while I take in a TV program.
Thanks for sharing, I aspire to be tidy like you!! Keep smiling and creating.

"Anywhere you can find it" is how I worked for a long time - when I had the luxury to do something creative. You're creating and organized! Loved getting a peek at your card.

Hi there, just visiting your blog for the first time via Keeping in touch. I like your style of blogging and you make cards too!!! I have the basement to work in, but have thought to bring my hobby up-stairs. Right now my stamping studio is all torn up and I am reorganizing something I can do in the cool of evening. Hope you are staying cool.

Love that you can craft anywhere in your beautiful home... and love the pic of the kitty on the chair (a familiar thing over here too!)

Your cards are lovely too!

Best part is . . .

You are so right, if there is a will there is a way.. You found lots of spaces.. Great post and a cute kitty! Happy weekend!

I love your cards, Missy. Is your "help" going after the mouse themed cards? : ) You gotta do what you can where you can, in some instances. Many times I am still doing some craft at our dining table, just because I like to have all that room to spread out.

You have a very sweet helper, and I love that she's in more than one photo. Cats manage to show up when its picture taking time, don't they?
Thank you for the tour!

Cats are funny. I have always wanted to make cards. Just had a hard time devoting any $$'s to it. Mine always goes to fabric. I enjoyed visiting. I shared my tine closet sewing space on the linky. Come and see me.
Have a great week.
Enjoy creating,
Sherry

I was laughing as I read your post as i too have "helpers" which sometimes make it difficult to create. I like that you can create in different places. I find it difficult although I have tried. There always seems to be something I want/need in my office and i make several trips there to get stuff. May as well have just started there. I enjoyed my visit to your creative space today.

I agree, be creative wherever you can. My studio is a home base but most of my sign painting and all furniture paiting is done in the garage, basement or sometimes the family room. And I have bags of my crocheting and knitting accessible wherever I tend to relax.

I love that you create wherever you find the space.

I like your assistant.

It is great to be able to spread out. I think you get more done when you can craft wherever you are in the house. Thanks for sharing!
