The Hershey Symphony held a concert on our grounds
to benefit the Care Assurance Fund .

This fund assures our residents of continued care
after their funds have been depleted
"through no fault of their own".
The program had a wide variety of music
 earning several standing ovations.

They were unable to play God Bless America
due to impending darkness and the inability to see the notes.

I'm sure this is a small sample of the actual orchestra
that has played at Carnegie Hall.

We were fortunate to have had a two day
break from the heat and humidity..
That and the fans made the tent very comfortable.

One of the numbers was a salute to the armed forces.
Those who are veterans were asked to stand
when their service theme was played.
It looks like we have a majority of Air Force Vets.
( I think I detected a few sour notes in their theme..
maybe due to impending darkness.)
Please excuse the quality of this video..I wanted to share the music.

Looks nice. Glad the weather cooperated. I was at a Marine Corps Band concert years ago, and they did the same thing asking Vets to stand when their somg was played. One lone man stood for the Coast Guard-- he waved and everyone clapped; it was really funny.

They do the same for our vets at the Memorial day service. It's always a bit emotional and brings tears. Have a great weekend.
