 "Reflect upon your present blessings,
 of which every man has plenty;
not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some." Charles Dickens

Let us remember that, as much has been given us,
much will be expected from us,
 and that true homage
comes from the heart as well as from the lips,
 and shows itself in deeds.
 ~Theodore Roosevelt

I am thankful for all those who have, and still do,
make a difference in my life.
That includes all of you...Bless you.
I will be back on Monday.
Have a safe and family filled Holiday.

 In this season of Thanksgiving,
I want to thank you for our years together.
You are truly missed.

 Happy  Birthday, Fred.

Before we moved here two years ago,
Max and Mollie had a lot of windows from which to see.
They were maybe sixteen inches from the floor so no matter
what they were lying/sitting on they could view the world.
It's very different here but they have figured it out.

This window was high before I had it enlarged.
I put a bird feeder outside
and Max would spend endless hours watching them.
Often he would go through the slats in the blinds
to try to get at them.
The right side was beginning to get a permanent sag
so I took the bird feeder away.

 Not quite as comfy,
he watches them from the kitchen window now.

I have several feeders outside of this window.

 So intense !!

Mollie spends her "world watching" time on the back of the couch.
I fear there may be a permanent dent in the cushion.
Max can sometimes be found there as well.

There is one way glass in this door ...
Birds and squirrels have been known to get pretty close
looking at their reflections on the other side.
Until it gets cold, this door is always open and locked.
It's not unusual to see one of them there in the middle of the night looking  for things that go "bump" in the night.

Where there's a will, there's a way.

Last week, I took you to one of our three garden centers.
This week we will visit the second and largest of them.
It used to be pretty upscale until it changed hands
 several years ago.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had reverted back to the way it was somewhat and improved their merchandise quality.

Like before, the pictures are self explanatory so
I will keep the commentary to a minimum.

Seems a little early for a Christmas sale...

I worked here for a couple of years in the pond department so it was nice to see this pond looking clean and healthy.

Their artificial trees have always been expensive but it seems that
they have no trouble selling them..
This is pre lit price but without the decorations..
We used to sell the decorations as well for an added price.
They may as well.

I think their wreaths and swags are pretty reasonable
 compared to the other place.

Remember though..40% off
marked up first??

I though this was clever..ready to hang on your wall.

I didn't go upstairs to the Christmas shop..
There are two floors that I didn't visit.
I may show you those closer to Christmas.

Good grief !!
Shouldn't we wait until after Thanksgiving ??

For those of you unfamiliar with my blog...
This is Max, my short haired Maine Coon cat.

He was shaved several weeks ago because of severe matting.
Now he's with me more than ever and I can touch him anywhere.
(Apparently , the mats pull on their skin and hurt.)
BM  (before mats) I used to be able to rub him near his tail and he would raise his butt high in the air and never ask you to stop.
I haven't done that for a long time but I'm allowed to now.
Most of his mats where on his back from his shoulders to his tail.
I was balancing my checkbook the other night on "his" table.
(His food is always up here so Mollie can't get it.)

He wouldn't leave me alone until I put him up on the table, you see, I was sitting in "his chair" or his access to the table.
You might have thought that he wanted to eat..
" I want to see those papers you're working on."

Of course he had to lie on the checkbook with his back to me.

The unpaid bills got flicked to the floor
with a few swishes of that tail of his.
If I did this at my desk, I wouldn't have this problem.

"Well, I'm just trying to make more room for you me."

"How can you resist this face?"

He's my boy and I love him but sometimes....

I know....
I picked him up and put him on the table in the first place.

Have a good week...I hope you are cozy and warm.
