Do you suppose that looking at this for several weeks
makes us appreciate the beauty of Spring more?

We are definitely in need of a cleanup !!
They will be here this week.

The weekends rains should take care of the rest of the snow.

We have little tributaries running everywhere.

Adjacent to our property is a corn field
and there are husks everywhere.
I don't remember that in previous years.

There is still a fair amount of snow along the path
between us and the cornfield.
In the bottom left corner of this picture
you can see a downspout extension.
See how it is tilted up towards the sky (some are)
 preventing it from draining totally?
Then they wonder why it is so buggy around here.
Sorry..That's one of my pet peeves.

Somebody is thinking "Spring".

It won't be long..
There are some freezing temperatures at night in this weeks forecast but it is to be mostly dry.
They are beginning to push their little noses through the mulch.

Have a wonderful week...

Give it a couple of weeks and the snow will all be forgotten - we, on the other hand, are organising our delivery of wood for the winter!

Yeah, the dregs of winter always look like some kind of sordid crime scene.

yes, this time of year is simply ugly.... no two ways around it, as they used to say.

hmmm, wonder what the background of that "no two ways around it" is? ,-)

You are quite a ways ahead of us, Nissy. They are saying we might have more snow on Friday here. What we have is miserable and ugly looking like yours is. Hope they are wrong. xo Diana

That is the downside to that pretty blanket of white. Yuck! Hopefully your lawn service will be out soon and take care of the ick. We had rain and lots of rain all weekend. We actually needed it to have our Spring flowers. Plus it force me to stay inside and get a few projects done! Take care and enjoy the day! Hugs!

Missy, I am with do some things ever get engineered? If you have standing water for any length of time, you'll have insects. A fresh new snow is pretty, but old dirty snow is sad and depressing. I am hoping we see lovely flowers before the month is out. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

So uplifting to see the plants pushing up thru the ground! Happy St. Patrick's Day.

We have early spring due to the lack of snow this winter, which is so strange for us. I'm over the whole no snow thing and now embracing the warm weather!

I agree with Tessa! This time of the year is UGLY! Dirty random, snow piles, garbage that was buried underneath the snow is all over the neighborhood, ugly, dead looking grass. Errrrrrrr. On my walk today, I'm going to take a garbage bag with me and try to clean up some of the garbage. Really people, you can't pick up the plastic bottle that has been lying next to your mailbox that you pass everyday?????? I can't stand neighborhood laziness....on the flipside, I've been seeing some of my groundcover popping out of the ground!
