NEW PAINT

When I moved here a little over two years ago,
my bathroom was painted with a glossy paint.
I have never liked shiny paint except on woodwork.

Old, shiny color...

My door isn't blue..That must be the lighting.
The old, darker color is on the left...
This next picture is the most accurate color.
This should show you that you can't pick a color over the internet.

Since I was having it painted,
I changed the shade of grey a bit.
It looks different in all of these pictures.

The painter saw green in it. I saw brown...it has both.
It goes better with the floor...

Before I changed the grey ,
I had gotten this rug which has become a Max favorite.

It still works...It looks purple but it's grey!!!
Max really is this color.

I hope your colors are true!!

Pretty new color, a nice choice for your bathroom. Happy Friday, Missy!

Looks lovely! Colors do actually "change" depending on the light and what other colors are near them. I don't think I've ever painted a room and had it look the way I imagined. Glad your rug has Max approval. Happy weekend!

Fun post . . .
I liked seeing Max on HIS new rug.
He is owning it!
I think GRAY is the most difficult color to choose.
it is either . . .
too blue
too light
doesn't look gray at all
It looks like you have come up with the perfect mix, although I can't decide if it is GRAY or GREY!

I like the color that show up on my screen. To me it has a green tone but then grays can change with the light of day. What really is important is do you like it? We know Mac does!!

It is hard to pick paint colors...even at the paint store they look different than they do in the light of your home.
I don't like gloss paint either-except on woodwork...although I do use an eggshell finish for the bathroom.
I just love that Max. He is just a beautiful kitty! xo Diana

Missy, I think shiny paint is for a house full of kids...easy to wipe down. LOL. I love seeing Max all stretched out. Sweet cat. Hope you are getting some nice weather. We may have snow flurries later today. Ewwee. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

Paint is deciving - it can look totally different on from one wall to the next - it's all about the lighting - but how fun for you! I love repainting and changing things up

With all the shades of grey it is almost like looking at black and white photos were just a few items have been colorized. Cool effect! The new color doesn't make it look like a battleship!

A few easy updates can change a room so much. I've been thinking of some new paint colors but after all the remodel work last year, I am over it!
