We were in the high nineties a few days ago ...Yuk
The dew points are up there too.
We've been in the high eighties since then.

Several years ago ,after tiring of Mollies lying down under every shade tree, I found this collar on line.

It holds four ice cubes that melt and drip down her chest
giving her some relief. It helps a lot.

Between the heat and distant thunderboomers,
our afternoon walk was very short.

Those thunder boomers made it to us for a change..Yay

So glad I went to the trouble to water last night...

Not much wind with this..I got my wash in just in time !

I was out on the porch taking pictures..It's like a sauna out there.
Mollie is in the closet..not a fan of T-storms.
Who knows when she'll eat her dinner.

Temporary temperature drop..probably close to the dew point.

I just heard on the news that the dew point is 76 !!!

Good Morning, Missy! Poor Mollie! The ice collar sounds like a great idea to help keep her cool. We've been having the hot temps and thunderstorms too. Enjoy your day!

We are still getting cool nights and mornings... And I should be happy about this! 'Cause posts like yours, are popping up. Hot! Hot! Hot!

So glad you found a nice cooling collar thing for your pup-pup!

Yes, thunderboomers and pets. No a happy combo. I read of wrapping them in a shirt of the owner... Almost like swaddling of a baby, for the feeling of protection it can give them. :-) but each owner, finds their own way, of dealing with the issue.

On my post, you commented that you have no trolls on your blog list.

No, you wouldn't. :-) Tolls just pick on someone and leave inflammatory comments. Which cause nice readers, to get upset with the troll, and keep all the upset and anger, going.

The only way to stop the troll's fun, is to delete his/her comments, and ignore the troll.

I am happy you have never had a troll, of any kind, leave comments on your blog. But many bloggers have and do. And it is a topic, which needs addressing.

The common sense approach, of ignoring, is hard to do, though. It's easier if one has read about this before hand. So they don't panic, if it happens to them.

so pretty. i really enjoy your rainy shots. that is so so cool. i always think when it rains i will remember to grab my camera and snap away & then i completely forget. nuts!! i know they make a similar thing for humans ... ours is just for water though. so we take them when we go hiking ... they work wonders. if i recall right my mom gave them to us for Christmas one year ... so smart!! we have been having lots of hot temps. so humid. had a storm last night during sleep hours. woke up to very cloudy windows - that means too much humidity around here. Looks like a great little collar. We have some cooler coats for our pups that we use at times, but sometimes the humidity is so high that they don't do enough. We have had late afternoon thunderstorms each day for a week now, and the temps are in the mid 90's and looks as though it will continue for at least another week. The AC is one, but we are also running a couple of fans. Summertime... UGH.
