This is late September and all the structure has been removed
as well as the concrete slab.
The concrete is being broken up and will be used in the new slab.

This is a picture of the new Community room.
Next come footers and a new foundation followed by steel.
Unhappily, they are cutting down some rather old trees.

There is a time capsule buried very close to the construction area.
It was buried in 1997 and is to be opened in 2022.

Will I be around to see it??
If so, you'll get pictures.

I wonder how many of those buried time capsules end up being forgotten about? Not this one it would seem.

Hello Missy, it is nice to see progress being made. The time capsule is neat, I hope you are there to see it opened.
Wishing you a happy day and new week ahead!

Time capsules are fun to do and fun to be part of when they are opened.
I did one with the grandchildren. They were young, opened it ten years later.
They enjoyed seeing their changes . . like Pokemon to cell phones.
Looks like your new Community Room will be very nice!

Hmm... 2022?? Sounds so "space age," but it's really not that far away, is it?
