FARMERS MARKET REVISIT

As often as I have been to this market,
I have never visited their petting "zoo".
This time I remembered my camera.

The Duck on the right was too tired to hold his head up.

Playful kids...need a little help???

Mud bath anyone?
They need some water.

These hens were not camera shy.

Dried flowers

Small bales of hay for fall decorating..

Goodies

Meat and deli items..
They have the BEST applewood sausage.
There are cases of frozen prepared foods.
Different chicken, beef and pork dinners..liver and onions !

Produce...
I missed the corn.

We have two of these markets close by.
The other one has more veggies..less " food ".
You can pick a bouquet of flowers from this field.

There are several greenhouses that are pretty empty now.
The pot of mums in the center has three different colored plants in it and a grass in the middle to act as a spike..
It was pretty but VERY expensive.
I wish mums lasted longer.

In the fall there is a corn maze as part of a Harvest Fest weekend.
You can't  get near the place.
Taking these pictures made me realize how much they have to offer.
It's actually a pretty small place.

I'm joining Stewart at
Wild Bird Wednesday

That looks like such a great farmers market and petting zoo! You could spend many hours there, I'm sure. I'm looking forward to driving up in the mountains this Fall and stopping at a farmers market where they sell homemade fried apple pies.

Nothing says autumn like a pot of mums.
