This is a continuation of Mondays post.
Mollie and I went for a ride in the country to take some pictures.
This one is my old street.

It was a very cloudy day
but the skies added to the beauty of the day.

This creek floods frequently.
The bank along the road is very low.

By the time we turned in to home, there was a hint of sun in the sky.
Excuse the wires but we are back in "civilization".

Sorry if I overdid the pictures
but I had to take advantage of the day.
It's just beautiful everywhere.
We are to have heavy rain on Wednesday and it will all be gone.

My sister, who lives down the street, placed these gourds,
flowers and pumpkins around the tree in their front yard.
The pumpkins were faceless when they were put there....
Not able to miss an opportunity to be creative,
her husband had his way with them.
Very cute, Joe.

I did my usual thing...

It's starting to look fallish..

Happy Fall
It reached 80 degrees a few days ago.
Freezing temps last night with frost.
Beautiful days....

Even though it was overcast,
today couldn't have been more beautiful.

I put Mollie in the car, grabbed my camera
and headed out to the country.

 No words necessary.
This has been the prettiest fall in quite some time.
I will post the rest on Wednesday.
Have a beautiful week.

4 AM

One morning not too long ago,
I got up to go to the bathroom and saw this from my window.
I think that is Venus with Mars thrown in for good measure.

I thought I would play with my camera a bit.
(Doesn't everyone at 4 A.M.?)

I think I'll go back to bed
if I can remove Mollie from my warm spot.

This year our "corn field" was turned in to a soy bean field.

I just threw this in because it was there.

You can see the whole way across the field
which is not something one can do when it is planted in corn.

I think the deer miss the corn although they still have been spotted
among the soy beans...They aren't hidden as well.

It doesn't look as though these beans will be harvested.

If so... they'd better get to it.

There is an abundance of this fungi growing along the side of the field among the pine needles.

Last night we had our first freeze.
This was at 8 AM.

It's time to dig out the sweaters...

(It doesn't matter to Mollie that we lost).

The long pants....I didn't put my knee lengths away though.

and the mittens.

The ball field has been busy all weekend.

This was shortly after 8AM on Sunday.

Some of the cars had out of state license plates.
I guess it's a traveling softball league.

Mollie was busy checking the downspouts for "Chippies".

The squirrels were busy foraging for the last of the acorns.

The last of the frost.

The Dogwoods are beautiful just now.

I turned my heat on this AM
but we are promised more 70's later this week.
Have a happy week.
