My sister and her husband live down the street and we decided
to buck tradition and have meatloaf.
Traditional Thanksgiving dinner is a bit much for just three of us?
I already miss the part.
This is my partially set table.

The day after....
I headed to the farm for a little "tradition."
As always, Moonbeam was there to greet me.

As were Daphne and Chloe....
Lots of eyes on me.

Lots of noses as well..
Looking for a handout but there was none to be had.

As I passed by the sheep, I stopped to say "Hi".
As I had no Ritz crackers, there was very little interest.

Ginger...."Hey, Got any Ritz??"

Up at the house everyone was congregated in the kitchen...
After all, that was the "happening" place.
Mac was getting lots of attention.

Here she is with Cousin Ryan.
Give her a thumb to suck on and she is happy.

This is a cap from one of the "Littles" that was found in the dry lot.
It is believed that it is several years old because of the age they would have had to have been when it was lost.

I seem to have forgotten about my camera because there are no pictures of the wonderful food and the beautiful table.

There are several pretty farms on the way home and I was going to try to take some pictures but....
The views are better going
and there was too much traffic on the two lane road to stop safely.
Next trip I'll try to get some on my way there.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I don't know about you, but I have a lot to be Thankful for.

Is everyone full of turkey?
Now it's time to go shopping...Not I folks.

One of the stops my sister and I made last week
was at one of our local nurseries.

One of the stops my sister and I made last week
was at one of our local nurseries.

We had lunch and wandered around a bit.

Bulk bird seed...

There was a table at which one could make peanut butter and birdseed ornaments.

Ann thought she would give it a try.

We left it there for someone else..a bit messy.

I have to say that each year I am disappointed with this business.
It has been around least 50 years.
It was taken over by the employees  maybe ten years ago.
Since then, the prices have skyrocketed and they don't have the selection they used to have.
These were all the Poinsettias that were there and this was the day after their open house.
This room used to be at least half full of them.

Both of our nurseries have gotten into clothing for some reason.

I'll try to get my camera over to the other nursery
in the next week or so.
Have a fun weekend...Good grief, it's almost December!

My sister Ann and I were out running errands last week
with no thoughts (that I knew of) of getting a Christmas Tree.

As luck would have it, our travels took us to Lowes
and Home Depot who had both just received a shipment of Christmas trees.

Last year we went to one of the local tree farms.
Ann didn't think she wanted to do that again .
This was so convenient and frankly, a lot less expensive.

Mollie and Jazz are talking things over.

It's in a bucket of water under their carport
until after Thanksgiving.
( I hope).

Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving.

This is the end of it !!!
The last cleanup for this fall.
Don't think all the leaves are gone, there are still plenty left.
I hope they find their way around my poor, bare plants.
They need something to snuggle up in this winter.

Such a dirty procedure and they don't wear masks.

So much for clean windows....clean anything for that matter.

Bare trees have exposed a lot of squirrels nests.

Happy Thanksgiving week!

My storm door is one way glass which, at times,
affords me some great photo ops.
Mollie was scratching at the door the other day...
whining and just plain going crazy.

This bunny, not three feet away wasn't budging.
He had other things on his mind and in his mouth.

My Liriope !!
I shooed him away after I got my pictures.

Have a fun weekend!

I was recently introduced to paper making.
Not having the necessary blender,
I purchased one while waiting for the paper making kit to come.
I thought this would give me the opportunity to try "Smoothies".

I went to the store and found some logical ingredients
and added some spinach.

Since then I have researched many recipes.
Some have been pretty good.

What to do on a rainy day!!
The paper kit came and I made several pieces
with a little help from my friend.
Since he has been shaved, he is ever present.

I used some pieces of Mums, Ferns and Begonias
 that got his attention.

The kit, with directions was purchased from "Paper Alice".
You can Google their business if you are interested.

I will incorporate this paper in my handmade greeting cards.

What else does one do on a rainy day??

Mollie is between my feet.
These last pictures were taken with my iPad..not as good.
(could be the photographer?)

I hope your day is tension free.
