A VISIT FROM JENNY WREN

This cute little Wren has been hard to capture.
I've never seen more than one at a time.

When there are other birds around,
she doesn't stay long.

For some reason she is all by herself this morning
and enjoying every minute.

I hope that you are enjoying every minute too..

SO MANY COLORS

The Azaleas here are old and just beautiful.

There are so many shades.

I always find this bush interesting.
The white one is planted next to the pink one and always has this one branch of pink running through it.
It's a different shade
and the white blossoms have pink through them as well.
Some kind of Hybrid?

These are all on my street...Thought I'd throw in a "Rhodie."

My newly mowed lawn...
The best part is that I didn't have to do it.

MOLLIE IS SEVEN

Happy Memorial Day
We must remember and give thanks to all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for us and our country.

An adjoining neighborhood goes all out for Memorial Day.
These flags flew over a block and a half like this.
Some people had others in their yards around pools and patios.

BEE HAVEN

Ann, Joe (sister and her hubby) and I went to visit Bev at the farm.
We wanted to meet the newest additions
 before they got much bigger.
On the way to the barn, we stopped at the pirate ship to see the ships wheel that Joe had refurbished.

Next stop was to see Hope and Faith and Mama Grace.
We were welcomed as were the Ritz crackers.

They have already grown quite a bit.

Ginger and MaryAnn live next door.
They also wanted some crackers but they were all gone.

I got lots of pictures of their cute little butts.

Instead of crackers, they got to go swimming.

Mary Ann wasn't sure whether she wanted her belly rubbed or just to lie in the water..I think the belly rub won.

These pretty boxes are planted with succulents and herbs.

Lots of Gerber Daisies

The gardens are off to a running start...

The Fairy Garden is almost finished.

It was a hot day and the equines were out in the front pasture staying in the shade..
They needed those fly masks, for sure.

Minerva also found a place to be out of the sun.

We have been blessed by a cool down..
Have a nice weekend and Memorial Day.

TRANSITIONS

From this to this to this in one week...

Sad that our blossoms are so short lived.
The pollen seems to be around a lot longer.
Appreciate them while you can..
Have a nice day.

ONE NEVER KNOWS

Good Grief !!
I was in my kitchen the other day, turned around
and saw this thru my living room window.
So glad I was dressed (more or less).

 The week before,
it was the power washers who were power washing the cottages.
I'm not complaining..I'm happy that I don't have to do it.
You just never know what/who
could be lurking outside your windows.

Several days before from my dining room window.
Excuse the quality of the pictures but I had to be quick.

These two have been around for several years and usually
put in an appearance around "cocktail time."
If they are the same two, they are mother and daughter and I have a picture of them under a bush during a snow storm a year ago.
One was considerably smaller then..

Sunrise a week later...

There is always something going on around here..
Tree removal (too much of that)
and in the back on the right a new heating system is going in.

This is for  a new TV cable...

New roof..

This is a very wet area, becoming a lake after a major rain.
They graded it a bit
and put some landscaping timbers across the back..
We'll see

.

I hope it's quiet in your neighborhood today..

STORMY SKIES

The day started off like this..A promise of things to come.

By three PM...

5PM...

It didn't rain until after dark when we had two inches overnight.
We could use a few more..
This was two weeks ago ..We are now at a four inch deficit !!
The next morning before burn off...

Ever changing...
