DOOM, GLOOM AND A SURPRISE

 During the night Saturday
we had a little over an inch and a half of rain..
If you watched the deluge at the Steelers vs the Bengals,
that's what worked it's way East during the night.
We were supposed to have a rainy Sunday so I guess it came early.

That made our morning walk easier....just drizzle.

 Interesting "after the storm" skies...

'

We passed our "under construction" site so I thought
I would give you an update.
It looks like it could include a pool !

You can see that the roof is completed
and the brick is going up the sides.
The mud gets tracked out onto our streets
making a clean car a luxury.

Then there's Mollie..
Too close to the ground to stay clean..
The first towel is her paws...
The second, her belly and she had her raincoat on.

This was the temperature at nine thirty this morning..
(the bottom one)
Not bad for almost the middle of January.
We'll be in the twenties in a couple of days.

Here's the surprise!! It turned out to be a beautiful day....

but it got very windy..blowing out the rain.
bringing in the cold front.

We had a visitor in the neighborhood this AM.
I've never seen a Pheasant here.
I hope he stays safe from the Hawks and the Fox.

Have a fun filled week..

Hello, we had much the same here, rain wind and then the clear skies. I love the reflection in the puddle. Poor Mollie! Cool sighting of the pheasant! Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!

Well then . . .
Made for an interesting mix for a few days . . .
I wonder if the snow is what will be next to add to your story . . .
We had the warm temps . . .
The rain . . .
And then the snow arrived . . .
And then the "lake affect snows" arrived . . .
And then temperatures from the fifties to the teens . . .
And the puppy here scoots outside for her "business" and right back in
with a look . . . what happened over night!
The new building has somewhat of a Frank Lioyd Wright look to it . . .
Puddles removed . . .
I liked the pheasant visitor . . .

We've had weird January weather too. Only 5 degrees out there right now!! A pool would be nice, wouldn't it? Pheasants are so pretty. We had them here when I was a kid but no more. Too built up now.

Poor Molly! The perils of being low-slung!

Hi Missy! I feel your pain with having a little dog. There's always a doggy towel by the front door waiting to be used! Lovely pheasant! I've only seen one once where I live. I did, for the first time since we moved in 15 years ago, see snow geese hanging around the pond at the rear of our property. That was pretty cool!
