STARLINGS IN THE SNOW

During our recent blizzard,
there was an influx of Starlings.
(love this picture)

Fortunately, they did not wipe out my bird feeders.
I guess they don't like Safflower Seed.. squirrels don't either.

They collected on the tree outside my dining room window.

They spent a lot of time eating the snow..

Not  one of my favorite birds but what a photo op !

Have you ever seen "peeping Doves?"

Hello, great photos Missy! They are not my favorite birds, they seem to make a mess. Love the sweet doves. Enjoy your day and the week ahead!

I was thinking the exact same thing, that they are not one of my favorite birds... but you sure did capture some great shots of them!

Missy, I love those doves peeking in the window. So sweet. Oh I do not like starlings at all, nasty things.I laughed when you said they did not like the seed you have out. Hope you are keeping warm and able to get a walk in now and then. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

Wow!!! So many birds all together in one tree. I like the way they are all fluffed up to keep warm. I always feel sorry for critters out in the Winter cold. I like all birds from the humble plain little sparrow to majestically coloured parrots. They are all beautiful to me.

Not the most popular bird in Australia, as they were introduced - but in the right light (or snow!) they look wonderful.

I love the peeking Doves. So cute! Yep, if you want to keep starlings away, you put safflower seeds in the feeders. Not my favorite bird at all, but oh well what are you going to do right? The pictures are pretty though!

Yes, so many! They are wonderful! Love that first photo, too! Have you ever read Arnie the Darling Starling. I loved it years ago...was fascinated by how smart Arnie was!
