This year, things seem to be blooming sort of hit and miss because of the erratic weather we've been having.
The ornamental fruit trees are in full bloom right now.

We have had days of high winds
so many of the early blossoms are going or gone.

The Magnolias sustained the most damage.

I have no idea what this tree is...

This is an Eastern Redbud or Judas tree.
They are often seen lining the interstates and are very striking.

Ornamental Cherry trees

We have a large number of Azaleas here
but only the purple ones are blooming now.

They are very old..this one is six feet high.

My Hydrangeas are pushing up...

This row of Forsythia was "pruned" at the wrong time
two years in a row..

Somehow, luckily, they missed this one.

Sometimes  we get a year when everything blooms at the same time
and it is absolutely gorgeous.
Years like this, we have to take it as it comes...still pretty.

Have a wonderful week..cold and windy here..

Hello, Missy! Gorgeous collection of blossoms and trees. The magnolia is one of my favorites. It was a shame about the high wind gust yesterday. I assume these the cold temps will not be good either. :(

Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!

Well . . . certainly pretty and much, much more blooming than we have.
I do wonder what our "blooming" will end up being . . .
Temperatures this week will still hover in the thirties . . .
(Less than that for my walk this morning . . .)
Thank goodness I can enjoy you!

Yes, very pretty. We're behind you-- not much blooming yet.

The beauty of Spring is fleeting alright. Luckily, it's replaced by the beauty of Summer!

You enjoy such a good variety of pretty blooms. We had very strong wind over the weekend, also.

There are some trees with good autumn colour around me now - and I was going to photograph them today. But it has been pouring wth rain all day - which is great in many ways, but not for photography!
