Last week I shared with you some Halloween decorations
from our neighboring community.
I saved this house for one post because she goes above and beyond.

Trick or treat !!

From time to time our walk takes us to an adjoining neighborhood.
I thought I would share some of their Halloween decorations.

This was the only decoration at this house.
Maybe they are just getting started?

This isn't exactly a decoration but when I first saw her,
she was just standing there and looked like a statue.
Nope..she's real
These houses back on side of the same cornfield that we do.

These creatures don't scare her one bit.

Now we are back in our neighborhood.
The leaves are starting to change.

Home sweet home.

Have a fun weekend...

I just love this time of year with all of its colors.
I probably decorate more for Halloween than I do Christmas.

I pretty much have the same things...just in different places..

I should probably get some more pumpkins....

Trick or treat !!

After enduring a week of mid 80's,
we are finally experiencing 50 ish temperatures and gusty winds.
YAY !

I was out filling my bird feeders over the weekend.
It looks as though fall has come to my garden....leaves everywhere.
They make for cozy winters ... I hope they are left there.

My only in ground Mums given to me by a friend.

This is one of the Cone flowers
that the groundhog ate in the Spring.
It is just coming back.

Lil Mollie has to check everything out.

Soon a frost or two will take their toll...

Are you ready???
'Tis the week of pumpkins, ghosties, goblins and black kitties.

I just had to "borrow " this cute picture from Debra.
Check out her Blog

 Thanks Deb..

Our property is bordered by a corn field.
Last year it was Soy Beans.

The squirrels are having a field day and it's not unusual to see
a squirrel running up a tree with a corn cob in its mouth.

Corn silk is strewn all over the place.

The corn along the edges of the field is pretty chewed up.
I'm pretty sure this is feed corn. It's always harvested late if at all.

I don't know who they think is going to clean up after them.

This was the recent Harvest Moon...Not quite full.

Have a fun weekend.

This Albino squirrel is rapidly becoming the neighborhood pet.
He hung in that tree just looking down at Mollie and me
until we decided to leave.
Looks like he's gathering acorns to "squirrel" away.

He has been named by several residents..
Whitey, Bianco, and Al Bino for example.
I just found out yesterday that there are two of them.
I thought that this one looked a bit healthier
than the smaller one I had seen previously .

A neighbor friend sent me these pictures that she happened to
catch through her window.
Looks like the whole family is out for a walk..

One would think we lived in the country.

It was rainy and gloomy last Saturday
so my sister and Iwent out to The Art Barn
where they were having an art show made up of the locals
artwork and crafts which included pottery, jewelry making,
painting and sketching.
They had some DIY  or "how to clinics" for visitors.

We signed up for this 2 hr class that will be held in November.
Painting with bits of colored paper and glue.

The same lady had painted this cute Chickadee.

These pottery bird houses were interesting...heavy

Unusual necklace..
I think it looks like a split open tennis ball.

Mr Fishy was interested in everything....

The reflection on the glass
of the paintings on the opposite wall are interesting.

When I first saw this picture,
I wondered what those marks on him were.

 Award winning plate

Downstairs there were pottery and jewelry clinics going on.
These little witches were cute even though they didn't
photograph well.

Little dishes traced from actual leaves.

We'll be back for the Christmas Show!!
