THE LAST GARDEN CENTER PART 2

This is a continuation of my last post ..
(Too many pictures for one post.)

This particular garden center has a good selection of dips, mixes, jellies, candy, chips and nuts.
See the ATM on the right?
How often do you see one of those in a garden center?
It made me laugh.

Greenhouse

I don't think I've ever seen a Spider plant as loaded with
"babies" as these are.

This room is very large
and there were Poinsettias as far as you could see.
I was there on a Sunday and they were $10.00
and buy one , get one.

This one was my favorite..I love the dark foliage.
They had some little ones.
I went back on Wednesday and they were gone.
I had to get a medium sized one (a gift).

In my previous post,
I commented that I thought they could do a better job
with their decor.
This is a prime example.
This sleigh is perfect for the season even though it's not real.
Why not a Santa, presents, a lap robe??
It's just kinda sitting there lost and it's beside a major entrance.
Those bows could be some place else?
Ok...so I'm being a little critical.
I would love to do some of their displays.

I love their Winterberry..There are three of them all together.
I want mine to look like these some day..(I'm trying).
The birds have stripped mine bare.

My favorite garden center is the first one that we visited.
It's the smallest but it has some very unique items
and no clothes or food.
We ( Mollie, Max and I ) wish you a safe and Happy New Year.

THE LAST GARDEN CENTER PART I

This is one of the larger garden centers in our area.
I tend to be a bit critical of it because it used to be my favorite.
Years ago, the employees took it over, raised the prices
and changed the merchandise.
This is the entrance.

I don't think the displays are given a lot of thought.
There is a lot of space between the aisles now as well.

Pretty Christmas paper plates..

Pretty not so Christmas paper plates...
Kind of a hodge podge of things all mixed in together...
no theme.

That sign is gone..I bought it for a friend.

Do you think they could have done better with this tree?

Cute!!
The one on the right looks familiar.

Most of the garden centers are getting in to clothing..
Generally poorly made and expensive.

This area used to be dedicated to baby and children things.

See the ATM machine ?
They don't want you to run out of money.

MOLLIES CHRISTMAS

I never get Mollie anything for Christmas.
She has plenty of toys.
She has a "walker" that I rarely use because I'm usually home.
She always brings her charges something for Christmas.

This year she found a winner.
She hasn't left it alone.

She loves things that squeak  and have noses she can hang on to.
This has both.
Max is interested as well.

She also brought a gift for Max but
Mollie won't let him play with it.

I have to put it out of Mollies reach.
Max and I play catch when Mollie is at the groomers.

"Playing makes me tired."

Christmas Eve

Joe had been bragging recently on Facebook
that he NEVER watched "It's a Wonderful Life".
SO Santa brought him his own copy....still won't watch it !
(thanks for the idea, Bev).

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas
to all of you and your families.

I hope Santa finds you happy and well...

I wish that your Christmas be full of moments
of love, laughter and good will,
and may the coming year be full of happiness and joy.
Have a Merry Christmas.

Thanks to you all or sharing your thoughts with me
over the past years.
Your friendship has come to mean a lot to me.

DECORATING WITH OLD FRIENDS

 These old friends !
These are my remaining decorations.
I'm very tempted to add new ones but have no room to keep them.

This was a gift from Mollies "walker" last year.
She made it from broken glass.

Can't forget the bathrooms...

Hope you are ready..I can hear those sleigh bells.
