We live in an area where the ground contains a lot of Limestone.
Pot holes are common..
This one has been repaired in the past.

We've had some heavy rains lately that have opened them up.

Four inches of rain last week made this already existing hole
twice as large.

I'm not going to get close enough to show you how deep it is..
at least waist high.
It has been roped off twice, increasing it's diameter each time.

This one looks like a dent. The sod hadn't been broken yet..

They are in the process of being repaired.
We had one where I used to the time it was repaired, 
it was three times it's original size.
That one was caused by the builder burying construction debris and covering it up...lots of air pockets.

Hello, the sink holes can be scary. You never know just how big they might get. There were some in Florida that swallowed whole houses. I am glad they are fixing them. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!

Yikes! How scary for anyone let alone children and pets! I can't believe how big they get, I never even knew they were so common. Take care and stay clear!!
