Last Saturday evening we had a horrific storm with 60mph winds and heavy rain.
Living in a heavily treed area, it was a little scary.
Most of out trees are old and not in the best shape so there was a lot of damage.
This branch came from a tree 50 feet away and on the side of my house..I think it bounced off of my roof..... It was moved on to my lawn so the street was not obstructed. I think it was done by our security guys.
The next day the three small branches from a Maple in the back were added to the pile by me...
These are the breaks in the little Maple in the back (Zoey's window).
My stepdaughters husband was kind enough to smooth off the rough edges..as you can see,
there's a critic everywhere!
Here you can see the big space in the tree where the limbs were.
(Between the bird feeders.)
The limbs are in the foreground in front of the hose.
That was my damage..
It has been five days and they haven't gotten to the little stuff.

This week I finally found a bush I have been trying to replace for three years. You have to get them from a nursery that supplies landscaping businesses..They do not sell to the public.
It had to be this bush to match another.

WOW! You had a lot of damage. I am glad your house was spared from a tree falling on it and doing damage. I am happy you found a bush to match the other one. Somehow you worked your magic and got one!

The wind was blowing fiercely north of the border, too, Missy, and our neighbour’s tree was snapped right at the ground and landed across our driveway. It’s a double driveway and had the car not been parked on the far side it would have been hit. As it was we suffered little damage, other than for a few crushed flowers and we just went ahead and ate dinner. The municipality was very efficient. With hours they were at the door to inform us that they were dealing with many fallen trees, some of which were blocking roads, so triage was necessary. We could still drive out so they advised us that cleanup would be done the following day. By noon it was all finished! See what happens when you pay taxes! Many hugs - David
That damage is just tragic. I hate it when trees fall are hurt. I hope that one will be able to be saved. Clean-up seems to take forever. Your new bush will be terrific! Good luck with all the clean-up.

Oh, you had some branches fall in your yard as well. Sorry to hear that. That squirrel looks like it's hanging on tight. When there's a fierce storm, the critters and birds are affected too.
