This past weekend we experienced our first hard freeze.

It was 30 degrees when Mollie and I set out on our walk. That was at 8 o'clock !!

The roses and other tender buds were none too happy.

Even my birdbath had a little ice on it.

None the less,
it was a pretty,crisp, sunny morning .
It warmed up rapidly.

It's a wonderful time of year.

First hard frost surprised me too!

Frost already. Wow.
I think your weather widget is stuck on some summer temps. It's showing the same temps the last several times I've checked on your weather conditions.

Those red berries (?) on the shrub are beautiful. What are they?

Are you ready to move into your new home? I hope your escrow is moving along without any problems. Take care,

Gosh, that WAS cold! I bet it was nice though to be out in the cool air. Hope your doggies were bundled up! We haven't had that kind of cold weather yet.

I love that bush with the red berries, Missy! I heard on the news last night that we have a chance for some snow next week! Not anything that would stick, but just the word "snow" makes me shudder.

I love this time of year, too. Just the thought of cooler, shorter days puts me in nesting mode. Enjoy your Sunday!
