NO MORE THISTLE

The finches have returned to the feeders.

They seem to like regular food (nuts and seeds) as well as or better than thistle.

The "wetlands" in the background is full of  thistle.

For that reason,
we don't see Finches at the feeders most of the summer.
The thistle has now "gone to seed" so the Finches have returned.

I am enjoying your finches early this morning. Mine have been back in full force too. We have to come up with a new feeding plan around here. The Squirrels have overtaken the large bird feeder. It is time to design a new plan so everyone is happy!

I didn't know that finches like seeds other than thistle. What other birds are attracted to you feeders?
